About
Makenna has a passion for creating and working with wood. She likes designing based off the unique properties in the wood which influence the end result. Modern products are too fleeting and people discard them without a second thought, this is not the purpose behind Makenna’s designs. Makenna wants her creations to have a long life and be cherished by whoever owns them.
In the shop she is known as Mak. While working she loves to listen to fantasy audiobooks that take her to a magical land where some of her wood creations can be influenced by the story she’s listening to. She loves to work hard and constantly experiment with new designs. Her passion for learning has earned her a degree in industrial design and a continuing education in the arts. Right now she is taking a watercolor and acrylic painting class and is excited to see how this will influence her next creations.
Process photos, so you can see into my mind.
This section has process photos of past creations. I like to start my projects by admiring the characteristics of the wood I am going to work with and design something based off that.
